IN SAPONE SANITAS - that is the slogan of our Christmas campaign this year. Roughly translated, it means: There' s a lot of health in soap. And that's exactly what we love about it. Did you know that soap is naturally antibacterial? And did you know that at Soeder we only use ingredients that have a natural origin? The most important of these are vegetable oils. These - in our case cold-pressed oils such as coconut, almond, olive and castor oils - are mixed with caustic potash (water and potassium hydroxide). The chemical reaction of these ingredients results in a new substance - soap! Soap has the great property of dissolving and binding grease and dirt from surfaces. These can be easily rinsed off with water afterwards.
The production of soap is a craft with a tradition that goes back centuries. We follow this tradition in our own soap factory in Schwerzenbach ZH, where we develop and manufacture our soap.
With IN SAPONE SANITAS we want to take you behind the scenes of this soap factory and introduce you to some of the faces without whom nothing would happen at Soeder. Our Soeder Producer, for example: She just finished a new batch of our natural soap. What's in it? Lots of good oils, protein from wheat and Swiss honey - in other words, ingredients that are completely natural in origin. "The best days are when we produce Herbal Garden and my favorite scent envelops the factory," says our Producer.
Herbal Garden is a true Soeder classic. It is the very first scent with which we began our journey as soap producers in 2015. Today, it remains one of the most popular varieties in the soap family, which has grown to six standard scents. Lavender and sage make it as fresh as it is distinctive: We think of trips to Italy, Greece or the south of France, where these plants have been cultivated and used for centuries, when we smell this soap.
What is your favorite Soeder scent?
