One thing has always been close to our hearts in recent years: to show that natural care is not only good for the skin, but that playing with essential oils makes great scents possible. That's why we have always developed limited edition soaps with a very special character. We have enjoyed working with restaurateurs such as the Maison Manesse restaurant in Zurich and the "Zukunft", one of our favorite clubs.
For our latest project, we are now teaming up with La Boîte: the New York-based company headed by Lior Lev Sercarz produces and distributes the most exquisite spice creations for both the restaurant trade and end consumers.
Three new scents for our natural soap have now been created from spice blends that Lior Lev Sercarz has developed exclusively for us: Wakayama is a greeting to Japan, in which the Szechuan pepper related Sansho, the citrus fruit Yuzu and sesame meet. Marrakesh transports its users:inside to the alleys of the Moroccan city with a scent of green cardamom, cubeb pepper and coriander, while Byblos traces the history of Lebanon as a melting point of cultures, tastes and smells through olive oil, anise and the tart sumac berry.
For Lior, the joint project with Soeder is his first journey away from the kitchen, "It was a great experience for me. Soeder and La Boîte have a very similar philosophy. It's about curiosity, about a desire for experiences, about being open to the world and sharing all that," he says. "In addition, soap is a wonderful way to experience scents; after all, it's a product we use up to ten times a day. A lot of people don't cook - everyone washes their hands!" And yet it was also a challenge: "With food, the aroma often only develops during the cooking process. Here, on the other hand, it was about developing a scent that's there immediately, that makes a mark right away."
Lior wants you to imagine being in a faraway place when you use the soap. For example, in the south of Japan, in the souks of Marrakesh, or at the port of Byblos. We second that and are very happy to invite you on this journey.
