A BOTTLE IS ENOUGH - WHY WE DON'T USE OUTER PACKAGING ANYMORE
You may be wondering that Soeder products you buy online or in a store will soon look a little different: Over the next few months, we'll be changing the basic principle of our packaging and abandon the use of cardboard outer packaging. Our goods will arrive in what you put in your homes: the bottles.
The first reason for this is obvious: avoiding waste has always been our priority. We – and many of you as our partner stores – have been actively working on reducing waste daily by offering our products as refills. We are thrilled about the great response we are getting from you – Thank you so much for joining! Outer packaging meets the same criteria as glass: Of course, you can recycle cardboard. But doing without it is much more sustainable.
Why did we use outer packaging in the past? First of all, because they protected the bottles during shipping. Later, also because some of the information about the respective product was printed on them. Today, both are no longer necessary. Everything you need to know about our natural care products is now printed directly on the bottle - and in a quality that will last for many cycles of use. Of course, at the same time, we package our products so that nothing can happen to them during shipping. So omitting the carton is a logical step, and incidentally also a logistical one: ever since we got our new soap machine - we affectionately call it "the monster" - the work step of additional packaging was something like the bottleneck where production was jammed.
We like our bottles. We think they're beautiful - and we know many of you do, too. Selling them now without repackaging, putting them in the spotlight just as they are is something we fancy. But at the same time, we don't want to waste anything: What we have of old bottles, we use up. So don't be surprised if some products still come with the outer packaging at first.
